Save The Date

Although there are people who think Save The Dates are old fashioned and unnecessary, they are still important, get guests excited about the upcoming wedding and can be quite cute!

Some fun ideas involve turning the Save The Date into a souvenir.
Getting married on the beach, send out "a message in the bottle" full of sand, seashells and a note including the wedding details.
For a winter wedding, a snow globe with the couple's picture and wedding date and location makes for a great reminder and can be used as a Christmas decoration as well.
Another cute idea is a magnetic calendar of the month of the wedding with the wedding date circled in a heart.
A fun new trend has been sending out cookie announcements...just be sure your guests write down the information before eating it!
A film strip of four pictures of the two of you (whether you're kissing, making silly faces or just looking adorable together) holding up signs in each such as "Save the Date" "the date" "the location" and "See you there" This is a fun theme because it gives a relaxed vibe and might show a different side of you that others don't always see.
Be sure to include an engagement picture (especially important for distant family members who have not met your other half) and use colors and a theme that is reflective of your wedding and your personality.
